Did you make sure the connectors (black/red) are inserted fully? Also, did you take off the plastic protectors? I know obvious - but I knew a first time user who did not know this.

I think you may have it set up like

Black - Red - Black - Red
Red - Black - Red - Black

That may cause your two middle ones to zap you in middle and sides made useless

Try a pattern like

Black Red Red Black
Red Black Black Red

This way the nearest pad is on the sides.

Hey!

It may also be your Sides are stronger then your Ab and core. Keep working at it and raise the intensity each time. If you want to know for sure, try an experiment. Unhook the M2 (Computer thingy) from all four pads. Connect one set of wires to Just the outside pads. Now raise the intensity on the side you connected. Do you have to raise it higher then normal? MaKe that your goal intensity with the Ab core muscles!

To shawn oct the reason why you might not be feeling anything is the fact that contour belt is a fraud. The first time that I ordered the contour was for a trial run for $14.95. As time passed I never recieved my package. I then had to reorder my package, I specifically told the representative that I only wanted the trial run. When I recieved my package, my reciept stated that I was charged $199.80. When I tried the belt I too felt nothing! I decided to return the package. I called customer service to recieve a RMA # and placed it on top of the package and sent it to 355 Byrd Avenue, Neenah, WI 54956. UPS confirmed that my package had arrived to this destination. The contour states to give at least 30 days for a refund to post. After 30 days I never recieved my refund. I called customer service several times and would wait at least 45 minutes to talk to a representative, each time I was told to wait a few more weeks. I then called again and was told that they have no record of me purchasing the contour belt from them, and that I am not eligible for my refund. The Contour stole $200.00 from me. I do not have my money nor do I have a product to show for it. Please be aware of the Contour company. This company has committed a serious crime. I will be taking this company to court. My advice to you is to try get your refund, especially in this time of our economy $200 is a lot.

i got my contour four days ago. the first two days i had it i had each side set to 25 and i felt it really good. and then i noticed i could put it up to 50 and it feels like its on 25. i feel a difference but the gel pads lost their power really fast. so i guess now i have to reorder more gel pads. seems like a waste when you pay that much for it and they die so quick.
