My experience with the Contour Belt!

Hi! I'm new to the forum and I am a 27-year old Mother of two - one five year old and one 1-1/2 month old.

I just received my belt today and I used it at Level 2, about 20% intensity, for 45-min under the Resistance Program.

Within seconds of starting the program I felt a strange sensation in my upper abs, above the belt, and of course, underneath it too. I just had a baby about six-seven weeks ago so I have quite a bit more fat in the lower midsection so I didn't feel quite as much there, I imagine I will as I am able to increase intensity. I am very excited about the results after just ONE 45-minute session - it's been about 30 minutes since I took off the belt and I still feel a slight burn in my abs and this is without even using a strong enough intensity to create ab contractions! I can't wait until I can up the intensity enough to see contractions, I can only imagine the results will be so much better. :-)

I'm very please so far and I'm looking forward to doing a second session when I get home from work!

*~..Lamia Amorist..~*

The area srimulated

I wonder how wide the area which is stimulated by the pas. I feel the contraction under the pad. Does the pad only stimulate the area under it or it stimulate wider range? Does any one know?

How the Pad works

I have both kinds of Pads the one came with belt and bought the sports pads large and small. I noticed the pad dried up and not as sticky as used to be and the contraction is getting weaker. From my reading here I found that I have to wet the Pads. I used a small spray bottle filled with clean water and sprayed the pads. I did not drown it water just a little bet. I was amazed how sticky the pads are and how strong the contraction even at lower intensity.
Some pads has good contraction and some has no or little contraction. I was puzzled by that but I found the secret. The pads attached to an area of light skin with muscles under it you get good contraction. The pads attached to an area of thick skin with lots of fat you get no contraction. To get around that I exercise the light area separate from the heavy skin areas.I can do that because the sports Pads give me full control. With heavy skin areas I crank up the intensity high. To believe me make an experiment by attaching the Pads to your hips you will never feel an contraction until you crack up the intensity to 60 or 70. It is not the Contour problem it is nature; Muscles contract easily the fat is spongy, unbreakable and does not contract easily.

Gel pads working sporadically...

I have had the contour belt for 3 weeks now. I def see results, however…it seems that my gel pads work sporadically. Some times one side is stronger then the other, other times it starts out with one resistance, then a couple of min later that same resistance feels double the intensity. This didn’t used to happen when the belt was new, but it seems that it doesn’t hold up all that well, and I do take care of it. I have “watered” the gel pads, cleared the wires…it continues to do the same. I would like to keep it, however I am not so sure about it’s long term quality. Has anyone else experience this problem? Will be calling customer service shortly. sad.

Sensitive skin...irritation on skin from new gel pad

I read that there is a solution that can be used with the gel pad to reduce irritation, but I do not see it for sale. Does anyone know what it is called and where to get it?

Wire has shorted connection

I have had the system about 1.5 months and already the wires that connect the pads have shorted at the base of the controller and one side of the belt goes totally dead. Jiggling the connection seems to help but then I have to hold it in place for the entire workout!!!

This is all horribly unfortunate as I'm JUST beginning to show results - warantee repair/replacement looks painfully difficult and clearly wont happen quickly.

Anyone out there have a similar problem and know if there is a way to fix or disassemble it and fix it myself???

I'm sooooo bummed out...
warranty help?

alright I bought the belt from a friend and it was working great for about 2 weeks. Then the inside where you put the batteries fell apart and now the belt is worthless. My friend said he's going to help me get it replaced since he's the only one the warranty is valid for.

What exactly do I need to do to get the belt fixed? It will be a shame to have bought it and it's already trash. It seemed to be working well. It says you need a receipt, how do you get a receipt? need help here.
