I'm using in conjunction with P90x

I just made my way through the first round of P90X. I did the entire workout except the AB Ripper because I hate crunches. I definitely lost fat and gained muscle, but my abs didn't benefit much. I'm starting my second round next week and I'm hoping this will be an effective replacement for the ab ripper. Has anybody used the Contour in conjunction with a hard core workout regimen like P90X?

Yes it works but don't expect magic

I like my contour belt. I run 2 - 3 marathons a year so core strength is important. I feel this product helps more than doing a bunch of crunches. I can feel it.

Will it make you lose weight and get a six-pack in 30 days while sitting on the couch? No. That is not a realistic expectation. But, it will help with core strengthening.

I like the product and will continue to use it.

Dont' feel anything

Just used my Contour belt for the first time today... but I didn't feel anything. Am I supposed to feel the contractions? I changed the intensity level several times up to the highest and still don't feel anything... Could it be a faulty belt? Any feedback would be appreciated!

Age/body type/clarity

Hello there, I saw an ad for the contour on TV and I'm very interested.
I'm 16 years old, almost 17. I'm tall and quite athletic. I already have fairly strong abs. The only problem is it is difficult to find floor exercises that work each section of your abs, and once you do actually find the exercises they're usually boring and hard to stick to.
I love working out, especially running and playing sports, but one thing i HATE is just rolling around on my floor trying to sculpt visible abs and getting no where.
All right so enough with the rambling here are my three major questions
1) Can a 17 year old safely use this product?
2) Will it help my body type? Given the fact that I am already in pretty good shape, only problem is working the hard to reach areas.
3) How is the clarity on the machine? How do i know what level to start with to maximize my potential? Do i up the level every day?

Thanks for all of your help. =]

Am I Doing Something Wrong?

Ok so for starters I am not an overweight person. I am 5'11'' tall and I weigh 162lbs. I have what most call fudge meaning I have got a little beer belly and some wonderful love handles to go along with them. I decided to try this belt out as the concept made a lot of sense and the fact that even after countless crunches and sit ups I havnt seen any results with those really. Anyways my question is this. How do you know if the thing is actually DOING anything. Ive tried multiple different levels of intensity and have had the belt for about 4 days or so using it twice daily. I havnt seen any visible results and nor have I felt the soreness that I would imagine comes from working your core. Could my belt be faulty? It just seems like I put it on set it to my workout and then 45 minutes later I feel the same as I did 45 minutes earlier.

How fast can I see result?

the subject said it all, but my questions are if I use the belt more than 1 time per day, does it give me faster result? I usually use the belt at night because it is only the time I get home. Does it still work? Can children under 18 of age use? I have a big belly and I have been using the belt for several weeks now, but I don't see result. I eat less for eat meal too. Does the belt work for big bellies?

day 1 level 1 23%; day 2 level 2 30%; too low?

hello to all.

i am 6'2, 200 lbs and although it reads like i'm skinny, i'm not. in clothes i look skinny but take my shirt off and i have no muscle at all, rather i have man-boobs, a beer gut and love handles.

day 1, my first program was level 1 at 23%. it does feel bizarre when the contractions start and you don't know how you are supposed to feel during the exercise so that's why to be safe 23% was okay. to me during the program it feels like having run a mile and your side hurts, but that pain is felt obviously in the abs and some slightly on the sides. no pain after. no pain, no gain, right?

day 2, i went up to level 2 at 30% and the same pain was felt during the exercise but not much after. day 3 i plan on going to level 3 and i'm not sure about the intesity. i've read some postings that a couple went straight to level 5 at 30% intensity or something. i might try that.

i've used this for 2 days, therefore i can't tell you of any results but i will say that i take 2 scoops of Body Fortress's Super Advanced Whey Protein right after the program because exercise doesn't build the muscle; only after exercise during recovery is the muscle being rebuilt. results take time and dedication. i don't expect to eat whatever i wish, not exercise other body parts and use the Contour and result in defined 6 pack abs. i hope no one does either.

regards

james

DON'T Hold Buttons In To Long!

My husband & I just got the Contour Belt about 1 week ago. We are both using it. I told him, it wasn't being consistent, that it kept skipping over areas and going right into the full workout, and I was wanting to go to just exercise, because I don't like the warm up cool down. Well!! my fault. He said let me see what you are doing, because he said it doesn't happen to me like that...and Of Course he said let me try, and when he did it everything worked fine......
Right...
So he watched me and he said you are HOLDING the button in to long, and that is making it skip over areas, he said just give the button a quick tap, well I did and now it works fine! I just wanted to share that because being new with this, I thought maybe we had a problem with the belt, I didn't even realize that I was holding in to long at all. Also I wanted to agree with a lot of other people out there, a work out program would be ever so helpful. We are not sure really what is too much, and wanting to get the best results for the time spent doing this we want to do it right. Any suggestions, on getting those love handles and placement of the belt to get them. Thanks
